Flower Sun
The flower sun lords over its subjects in the garden. One of my sunflowers, that stands so tall I can't bring myself to clip it for inside, becomes the sun against a typical, deep blue, Arizona sky. I remember being amazed how deep blue the sky is out here and discovered that's because there is so little water vapor in the air to scatter the light. So, we are a little closer to seeing the black sky of space, because there's so much less "stuff" between us and there. Back east, were I'm from, humidity in the air is like a thick fog, once light passes through 10 miles of atmosphere.
