PIECE OF CAKE!

It makes an awful noise when a full-grown daughter steps inadvertently on her mother's pride & joy. There's the sickening sound of splintering mahogany, swiftly followed by deafening recriminations from the angry mum.

This is the stricken headstock of a nice little Spanish guitar. It arrived chez nous in six pieces! To give the repair any sort of guarantee we're going to have to put a 2mm rosewood plate on the top & a 2mm plate of mahogany on the back.

An expensive piece of cake!
