Dilly dilly
Long day. Earlier start than was necessary due to just not being able to sleep any more while people are dismantling my world. Sheesh, still get a shock whenever I see a 'Brexit' headline and remember it's true.
TallGirl is all done with school now, but is on a work experience week at a vet clinic in town, while CarbBoy has another week and a bit of school, but I think it's mostly playing. So, the vet thing seemed to go swimmingly (only one dead animal so far - not TallGirl's fault, I should add). Meanwhile, I researched extensively options 1 and 2 for the continuation of life as we know it.
After school, I had to be the local muscle in the Head's meeting with a very intimidating parent (she's already - at my and others insistence - reported him to the police). Happily it all went well. Let's hope he doesn't react badly to the school's legal proceedings against him that have my name all over them... (Mr B has given me strict instructions on the door answering protocol for when he's away.)
Later it was with some relief that I could admit that I've never really been a fan of the England football team. (I should clarify that I admitted this before the match, not after...)
The lavender is quite glorious this year. This Dutch lavender was only planted this year, but is already providing a sumptuous display next to the French roses and the English sweet peas. Sheesh. World gone mad.
