Shadows
Not much sleep last night and various things conspired against doing the jobs I wanted to do today so fell back on rearranging the mess in the basement.
Was pleased to find this fellow again; an echo of a youth when we dreamt of a high-tech 21st century united under a world president with only a few aliens, spies or assorted disasters to deal with; escaping the real life 70's world of three-day-weeks, blackouts, IRA bombings and racism.
In the current utter shambles I doubt we'd even notice a few ET's arriving. Reminds me of a Del Amitri song (which we know from the singing of Strawhead).
The Martians could land in the car park and no one would care
And nothing ever happens, nothing happens at all
They'll burn down the synagogues at six o'clock
And we'll all go along like before
And we'll all be lonely tonight and lonely tomorrow.
