Is It Supposed to be Fingal's Cave?
No, it is Rotterdam's construction at the pop-up exhibition of city architecture on display in the centre of Edinburgh. It is made of plastic drain pipes, and I guess the water and stepping stones have something to do with the harbour? The inside had the jaggy organ-pipe look, but on the outside little grass plants had been placed in the pipes and made a rather attractive finish. You could make quite a nice garden shed this way, but I'm not sure if it would be watertight.
You can see Bergen's giant Jenga in the background - it was nice inside, a bit like a sauna and it even had a little bench to rest on. Edinburgh, Dundee and Vilnius were there too.
Quite a few folk were wandering through and taking a look, and some were taking photographs. An interesting diversion on a wet afternoon.
