Yorkshire Lavender

After a visit to the hairdresser I decided to get out on the bike as rain was forecast for the afternoon.

A route past Nunnington Hall across to Hovingham and the to Terrington. It was in Terrington I stopped off at the Lavendar Farm. Here a mix of blue sculptures, tall grasses blowing in the breeze and lavender. The owner was cutting the grass and explained which of the sculptures he had designed first. This was the start of a cricket team although my favourite is the blue gate.

A really enjoyable ride and justified by the heavy rain that fell this afternoon.
