Thrifty
Spotted this clump of sea thrift on the wall of a nursery when out looking for rose bushes this morning. Unusual to see it up here as far as I'm aware. We were over enthusiastic with my obsession for evergreens when we moved into this house 20 years ago and now they're a nuisance, all straggly and many past their best. Decided to trawl the plant sellers and put a range of roses in to replace the victims as they're removed. Off again tomorrow to look for some healthy specimens. Seems to me a number of garden centres or nurseries are only too happy to sell low standard shrubs at full whack prices. Rain started now so gardening has been abandoned.
