Replacement Feathers
If you look closely at this fellow you will see some smaller feathers on his tail and his left wing. These jays get into lots of tiffs and lose feathers when they do. A couple of them are really motley. I have been wondering if the feathers grow back and now I know, yes they do.
I had lunch with my friend Mel today at La Fiama. She and I plan to travel together to Menucha on the Oregon Gorge to take a week of art classes at Creative Arts Community's Art at Menucha. The last time I attended was in 2012. I am really looking forward to going again this year.
I finally got some news from Panasonic about my broken camera and lens. Mind you. I had to call them. I doubt they would have called me. Anyhow, the lens would cost just $100 more if I bought a new one so I ordered one today. The camera will cost over $500 but a new one is three times that, so I said to go ahead. They emailed me the costs and I forwarded them to my insurance company. Alas they want a paper version with more detail so tomorrow I'll call Panasonic again... the adventure continues.
Arvin and I had a good walk this evening. I was feeling a bit down but the walk really helped. We didn't go too far and stuck to roads and non-steep hills. What made it good was we met two sets of friends along the way and stopped for friendly conversations. By the time we got home I was a much happier kitty.
