Monday

Today has been another one of those days that feels like it takes forever

I had two double study periods first period so I went in a little late (ssshhh). I then had geography, in which we watched a documentary about the population of the world (it was David Attenborough though so, wasn't too bad) and then had double advanced history on which we watched part of a film and then did a bit on an essay about the divide of the North/South of the USA in the 1850's. I have to say, I am quite enjoying the American civil war topic so far. I've never really done any American history in depth before.

After school, I went to sailing and because it was too windy for the kids to go out on the water, we played loads of different games. And, for the end of the evening, one of the instructors made up a quiz (mostly) to do with sailing.(we all had to do a game each. Mine was successful, but difficult to explain through typing words. so I won't bother. Haha) there was two instructor teams and three teams of kids. Me, Hannah, David and Chris were in team "A is for Brilliance" and, because we are oh so mature we, (deliberately!) misspelled, took questions literally, and just generally answered as ridiculously as we could. And it was hilarious... At least we thought so. The other instructor team did it too, just not quite at the extent that we did.. Haha

A lot of the answers won't make sense to anyone, particularly if you don't have the questions but still, we found everything very funny. It was great fun

Examples :
5) "what do you do to get out of iron?" We answered with "push the thing to the place - poosh poosh, pool pool" (push push, pull pull)

8) "what are the five colours of the Olympic Rings?" we said "that one, another one, the other other one, the other other other one, the last one" (and then the actually colours underneath..)

9) "what is the bit of rope at the front of the boat called?" we said "Steven"
