A trip to the mart with some cull cows. They sold quite well. Lambs took a jump of 20p/ kg, don't know if it was just a post Brexit blip caused by the weak pound or not. Won't matter, cos I didn't have any to sell today any way.
The shearing gang in again today doing more x ewes and tups . Also the drainage contractor moved his digger down the road to our next field on the list.
After a few phone calls and differing weather forecasts we decided to let the silage team make a start mowing some of the fields this afternoon,hoping to lift on Wednesday/Thurs if the weather plays ball. This is one of the 2 tractors mowing , both with front and rear mowers. They can fairly cover the ground .
