Swallow Babies

I discovered a nest of Barn Swallow babies in the rafters this morning.  Unfortunately, it is quite high above the ground, and the lighting in the barn is very dark, so this picture isn't about to become a National Geographic cover shot, but I was excited to see these two bright-eyed little ones peeking over the top of their mud-daubed nest.  I especially like how their parents strengthened their home with hairs "borrowed" from Rubicon's mane and/or tail!
