It's a bug's life
Took the day off work. Was expecting a delivery - it didn't arrive. I did go for a bike ride as it wasn't raining for a while. Just a short run but a good average at 24.1 km/h over the hour.
After lunch I had a go at putting putty in the garage door window - the old putty had died. I've tried before with only minimal success, this time was a lot better. Hardly professional, but all things considered not bad for only my second go. I also put a coat of primer/undercoat on the back of the door - it was never painted. I need to strip the outside back to bare wood and start from scratch on that side, but the putty needs to cure first.
I then tried a few pictures. Mostly from our wildflower lawn at the front of the house - while the paint dried. Quite a lot of insects out and about in the lawn, though this close-up of a garden chafer (Phyllopertha hortocola) was actually from the grassy bank in front of the lawn. The extras as from the lawn - though the Nigella/Love-in-a-mist flower isn't really a wild flower.
Finally I went up to town for a game of badminton - which I didn't win - and some shopping on the way home.
