Somewhat random blip today.

We got the news yesterday that my 85 year old mum died yesterday. In some ways not a surprise as she'd been very ill for some time. But as my step sister said when her dad died a few years ago, "even though it's not really surprising it's still a shock when it happens",

So Clare & I dropped everything and headed 250 miles up the A1 to Darlington today. Now getting stuck into making "arrangements".

We took time out tonight at a local Indian restaurant where we were splendidly fed with 6 courses for £9.95 each. Just what we needed.
