After Danny Boyle's opening ceremony with its' riffs on the 'Jerusalem' that was not built and the Pandaemonium that was (with Danny's secret hat tips to the late Humphrey Jennings and Derek Jarman), with its forging of the Olympic rings.

This is a reminder that Olympic rings can also be made of flowers as well as metal
