Mary's birthday tea

Visit to pa-in-law this morning for a catch up. - he is doing well and still very happy (just the flat left to sell and everything sorted).

This afternoon invited over to a work colleagues house in Maidenhead (with other colleagues), to celebrate her birthday. Her daughter (20 years young) has been on a patisserie course in Devon and agreed to do a tea party for her mum.

She had made:
Baguettes (served as open sandwiches of: cheese/pickle; ham/tomato; cream cheese/cucumber; coronation chicken);
Scones (absolutely delicious) with cream/jam;
Mini eclairs;
Macarons;
Battenberg;
Mini lemon tarts.

It was all absolutely scrummy. Sat out in the garden until the rain sent us all indoors.
