world in a grain of sand

clever aunty Laura. She's worked in a kindergarten and knows what little ones like, so she brought R some stickers. They were carefully stuck to paper, then to relatives, and finally to R herself. She was particularly pleased to get one to stick to her tummy button.
In photographic terms, the morning was a wasted opportunity. We went to the outdoor pool at Portishead. It's a lovely 1960s lido with what looks like a great restaurant. You can see across the estuary to Wales and there's a nice woodland walk, plus a great park with a (small) lake where people sail model boats. The sun shone, though the wind was so cold that R soon got chilly and had to get out of the water. The park was a better experience for her.
