This

may not look like much of a photo but it's fairly exciting to us. Since we moved in, we've been snuggling on beanbags and cushions in the corner as we didn't have a sofa to fit the lounge. That has now changed! The We also got rid of our big horrid TV in the last house, which was only for watching DVDs on anyway but we just got by with the computer. Only that seems to have refused to play DVDs now. Today we got us a TV and DVD player. She was pretty excited to snuggle on the sofa for Sunday film time. We are feeling very grateful for the charity shop that sells sensibly priced preloved sofas (sofa bed in fact, we've had overnight guests on it already!), for the beautiful Liberty lap quilt that sits on it and the gorgeous silk cushions both made by Granny, and for the TV my parents had been given that they kindly passed on to us after Katie informed them how she wasn't liking that the computer wouldn't play DVDs anymore. Of course, in the moving round to fit the TV in, we made sure there was a nice space for the clarinet & music stand!

We had stayed at Scarborough overnight after a late finish for Mummy and Grandad doing some jobs, so Katie was excited to wake up there when she'd expected to wake up at home. We stopped home to get sorted before church and went early to get on with the jobs I now always have to do in readiness for the service. This week was quite exciting as we were launching the summer holiday club that has been one of my big projects the last few weeks. We have worked putting together a snapshot of one of the sessions to show the church with the theme song, drama, photos, activity sheets. I was pleased how it all went, though a little disappointed with the response from the congregation. I'm hoping I can gently talk a lot more of them into supporting it in due time! She went out to play outside with her friends after the service while I was doing jobs in church.

We left fairly late so straight away went to get a quick bite to eat for her and few bits that we needed. We very much enjoyed snuggling with the Johnny Depp Charlie and The Chocolate Factory which we'd picked up in the pound shop. I did some sewing, she did some colouring and music, had tea and snuggled in my bed chatting to me as I finished my sewing. It's been a kind of non-day but at the same time it's been a good one.
