Diary of an Edinburgher

Lucky dog!

Another day of reading and viewing the political fallout of Brexit. Fascinating to read/listen to both sides of the argument. And I don't think the MPs will be having their usual long recess this summer!

JR has been baking, though none for Archie and I. All for the staff. Such a large staff, too. But I am assured that a piece of cake will be saved for me.

We took Archie up the hill this afternoon and he had a good charge around, then a play fight and tussle with a lovely wee dog (forget its name) who was blind and had been rescued in Thailand by the man's daughter. She had had to come back to the UK and work to save the money to bring the dog here. Lucky wee dog. It was actually on a lead (being blind) but I cloned the lead out for the pic. He and Archie had great fun while we chatted with the man for ages. In a gentle drizzle.

We also met a big bouncy boxer pup. Five months old and not neutered, so we kept sharp eyes on Archie in case he suddenly decided he didn't like him. They played happily for ages, then - whoops - the young dog stuck his nose too near Archie's rear end and WOOF! Though it was just a warning woof.

Football this afternoon. Wimbledon starts tomorrow. I'm so glad we (accidentally) bought our humungus TV.
