'Happy Birthday Nick'

Today we drove to Arborfield for a family reunion with Pete's family. There were 30 of us..one person missing, Pete's Mum. She passed away last year...we all missed her presence and feel it's important to have an annual party. We're all quite a distance from each other. We were also able to have an early celebration of my lovely Brother-in-laws 70th Birthday..which is on Monday. Our nephew and his wife hosted..but we all took plates of food, a huge variety and everything went!
My daughter and family were there too so that was an added bonus.
The drive home for Pete and I was frustrating...closed M3 going our way, diversions, more closed roads...then when we eventually got on to the M25 it was telling us our junction was closed. Luckily they put the sign up early, everyone was going off towards Woking, but then suddenly veering back, so we followed. We beat the closure by four minutes. We got home at 11.15pm...home sweet home.
