PANNING PRACTICE AT THE RACES

Yesterday we went to the races  - horse races that is - for the first time this year. We don't bother to bet, but in between races we enjoy the colour - the jockeys with their vivid silks and saddles the size of dinner plates, the absurd fascinators on the heads of the racing ladies and the 'Damon Runyonesque'  characters you see on every course.  
Oh yes, and then there's the races. I practised, not wildly successfully, to pan just after the winners passed the post in one race.  I've also posted the winner of the big event of the day as it came into the stalls
