VanDusen Festival of Lights

Due to some special circumstances, my family and I were able to see the lights on the eve of the opening night (avoiding the huge crowds of visitors that would surely flock here every night to see the display)! It was the first year I've been to VanDusen Garden during Christmastime, so I was full of anticipation. And the experience did not disappoint. :)  It was an extraordinary evening. Against the pitch-black darkness of the night sky, the lights were dazzling! It was like walking through a fairy tale. All of the displays were amazing, but I chose pictures of what I thought were the most enchanting displays to post here. :)  Must thank the amazingly talented and hard-working people who dedicated their time and effort to create the lovely and memorable experience for visitors. *applause

Please enjoy the extra photos. My favourite is the flower lights. If you look closely, you can see that they were made from plastic water bottles. What a creative way to re-purpose materials into a beautiful light display!
