While dead-heading the roses

... I found this. What happened here? Bid for independence? Crime scene? We kept the nest anyway, it's so tiny (10 cms in diameter) and intricate that it's worth it. I may re-blip it differently one day.

If anybody knows which bird might have made it, please do tell me.
