St Leonards

St Leonards has suffered from lots of negative press in recent years. I've got to say that it's rather unjustified. It has a certain slightly faded old-world charm. It's a bit arty, cosmopolitan. There are lots of beautiful properties - this being a prime example. It is the former home of H. Rider Haggard, author of King Solomon's Mines and She. You can just see the blue plaque. Go through the archway, you will see another blue plaque which tells you HRH's closest neighbour was one Alan Turing. Quite a neighbourhood!
