Mourning Dove

I went out to fill the bird feeder, not realizing the dove was on the ground underneath it, so we really startled each other!! The dove flew up into the tree and just sat there watching me so I went for the camera & when I came back it was still up there....just watching!  I took a couple of pictures, then finished refilling the feeder & went back inside the house. When I looked out the window a good 5 or so minutes later, it was STILL sitting up there.....must have been waiting for either a menu or an invitation, although if it waits too long, the sparrows will have it all emptied out again!      :))
