Our anxiety has been increasing all day and now we’re watching with growing dismay as the UK referendum results come in. Dawn is breaking in London and at this point, Brexit looks almost certain. However irritated one might be by Brussels, a decision to leave Europe could be a death knell for the United Kingdom, maybe even for the EU. What will be left – a divided society, Scotland, Northern Ireland and maybe Wales heading for the door, and a very Little England?
