Valle Gran Rey

This is one of the deep ravines cut through the volcanic landscape of La Gomera.  It's deep and narrow and very beautiful.  Very interesting geologically and botanically.  We did the short walk down having been dropped off by the minibus.  There were 6 of us walking down and much gossiping went on.. A bit like a blip meet but we couldn't find any cake!

We worked it out that we walked about 8 miles all told and got very hot and sweaty in the process.

Interestingly, we met a German man who has a holiday home on the island, and he was very interested in talking to us about the referendum.  He couldn't believe that it had got to this stage without someone seriously talking about the real issues...  Well, yes...
