Enjoying the sunshine
I went into town and met up with friends. We decided to take advantage of the sunshine and have lunch in the park. It was good to see everyone relaxing and I heard a lot of foreign migrant voices as couples pushed prams, children ran around and strollers walked the paths. In this town which, with its neighbour, polled the highest Brexit votes in the country, I did not feel threatened, only saddened that I am part of a community in which many must now feel most unwelcome.
