Metaphor for Berlin

We are at the Abhorstation Teufelsberg in Berlin. On a hill created from the debris of WW2 destruction.

Today there is an artists community. 

I found the remains of a burned out bee hive in the cylinder of an old washing machine, the comb cooked golden brown. Gradually, tentatively the bees started to come back and recolonise their old home.
