Coming Home

My Dear Fellow,

I have always been rather fond of this church. Seeing it at the bottom of the hill always makes me feel like I'm coming home. Just a left turn, and a walk along the high street.

And when I say "always" I mean that - as Danube Street was my first Edinburgh home, it will always have that association.

I have woken up today in a more pragmatic frame of mind. Trying to come up with Plans B & C for moving to NZ, since Plan A now seems in tatters. Plan B is that we go sooner than intended, Plan C is that we stay longer than intended. It sort of depends how things go workwise here in Edinburgh. So my next stop after blip is job sites.

The other thing I've done today is to advise my sister on how to get Irish citizenship for herself and her daughters. I can't see the Independent State of Yorkshire being a terrific place to live & work in a few years time.
