légion d'honneur

Adrien Delmarre was give the Légion d'Honneur today in Les Pilles.  He is 96 years old.  He served in the army for more than 7 years and got various medals at time time.  He then joined the Police Force.

He certainly doesn't look 96 and is in great form - always telling stories about the war or about the 104-year-old Scottish lady who is in the same retirement home as him who doesn't speak a word of French!

Once he was presented with his medal, afterwards we all had drinks and an apéritif to celebrate.  His family was very proud.
