Double Standards?

If I or anybody else who supports Scottish Independence waves or displays a Saltire we are called narrow nationalists and often much worse, but when the Union flag is waved or displayed the very same people say it is a great symbol of Britain. Frankly I cannot stand this kind of double standard.

There is nothing wrong with those who celebrate and wave the Union flag but equally there is nothing wrong with those people who do the same with the Saltire or indeed the French or Irish or Australian flag for that matter, as long as it is being waved in celebration and not being used to represent exclusivity or hatred of others.
