Rodin

Rodin was friends with Loie Fuller and donated some of his sculptures and drawings to the Maryhill Museum she was creating with Sam Hill and the Queen of Romania. As a child Rodin was very nearsighted and interpreted his world through touch. Even in these plaster casts, he demonstrated a capacity to render the human form with tenderness and sensuality.
