Cyclops and I watched the Olympic opening ceremony on TV. Does that look fuzzy? Yeah, cos we watched it in 3d. Alriiiight. Well some of it anyway. It makes my eyes feel weird. Although I have discovered that it looks/feels better if I wear the 3d glasses UNDER my normal glasses.

I thought the ceremony was quite nice, I liked it enough, and all the stuff about community and volunteers and inspiring a generation is great.

But dare I say it I thought the whole thing was a bit twee. The Britain I know is more witty and tongue in cheek. So I liked the bit with the Queen and James Bond, it would have been great to have seen more like that.

The cauldron was stunning, aesthetically and conceptually. Best bit.
