Guarding his Prize

I saw this hawk being pestered by a smaller bird as s/he landed on this fence post.  It was quite a distance away and I only had time for one shot before it flew off.  I didn't notice that s/he was carrying a dove until I uploaded.  Sorry if this is gruesome but it's nature's way.  As always I am having a hard time deciding if this is a Cooper's or Sharp-shinned Hawk, especially because I don't have a good angle on the head. Any input will be appreciated!

I've fallen behind on journals again.  It's been a long day and I'm too tired now so I hope to catch up with everyone tomorrow!
