Great cycling day!

Well, after a somewhat disappointing start (which will be my only comment on the brexit vote!!!) had a great day today.

We set out from Sarlat at around 8.15 to make sure we got to the caves at Lascaux on time and despite our years (158 between the 3 of us) we arrived nearly an hour early!!

The tour at Lascaux is fantastic, a must for anyone visiting the region. From there we did an easy (but fast) ride to Terrasson where we had a leisurely lunch.

The ride back to Sarlat took it out of us - not least the very long and very steep hill out of the town. The pic (and the extra to prove we at least had bikes) was taken at the bottom of a hair raising descent between Terrasson and Coly, truly beautiful and the picture doesn't really do t justice.

Overall we did 52 miles (84km) at a decent speed considering the hills - rewarded ourselves with a cold beer back at the house, and out for dinner.

Thunderstorms just started but due to be dry again tomorrow - just deciding where and how far to go but will depend upon how the bodies feel in the morning!
