Crossing the Channel

This is the wireless shed at Dungeness. It was built in the 1890s and used by Marconi for his wireless experiments. In 1899 he was the first man to send a message across the English Channel although it isn't clear whether it was from this site.

I went in the newly reopened café and it is wonderful; I cannot recommend it enough.
