At yesterday's sci-fi movie marathon we took part in the quiz, expecting to loose miserably. None of us are massively into sci-fi, we just love films.

Luckily for us the quiz included a catchphrase style movie-poster reveal round, and by shouting the answer first for a few posters, we managed to gain a massive 27 points. Due to an unbalanced scoring structure this put us into first place, winning a fantastic 2001 print by god machine.

I feel pretty bad about winning as we didn't get many of the regular questions correct (e.g. What was Dr Spock's Blood Type?), whilst other teams aced them. A similar thing happened last year when we came in second for just recognising a few mainstream movie posters. I think we'll sit it out next year and give the proper sci-fi fans a chance!
