Sitting On A Star

Gosh we've had a lot of rain in Essex in the past twenty-four hours. I got soaked wading through long wet grass when I went bug hunting.

I always have a good look in a patch of lesser stitchwort as it seems to be popular with grasshoppers and crickets. I was delighted to capture this minute field grasshopper nymph sitting on one of the small star-shaped flowers.
