abstract thursday - celebration

thought I'd take something at a 'celebration' that takes place locally tonight - 'les feux de la Saint Jean'. This is a Catalan celebration where representatives from villages/towns in both the Spanish and French side accompany a flame from Perpignan to the top of Canigou. A bonfire is lit at the summit. The next day the flame is brought down again and many of the surrounding villages have large bonfires and parties , accompanied of course by some Catalan music and dance.
