I had a song in my head at work all morning and I played football in the park for most of the afternoon with various children who were all off school today for polling station-related reasons. And then when all the food had been eaten for tea and the pots had been washed and a vote had been cast and the girls were kind of in the process of winding down for the evening I headed east in the glorious sunshine.
