Birdy Nursery

We've discovered a nest of baby blackbirds in one of the school's sunken light-hole-things (we have a basement floor and the shafts let the light in), four of the babies in the next and Mummy Blackbird and Daddy Blackbird have been flitting back and forth to feed them. They're starting to get adventurous and flapping their wings to want to fledge - very exciting for both the children and staff! A bit disappointed not to get better shots, they all are taken through the rather grubby basement window... but watching it was the main fun!
