Split #4 (Trogir)

Today Mrs CBL and I took two local buses to reach the nearby tiny island of Trogir which is beautifully set within medieval walls, its maze like streets are reminiscent of the old towns of Split and Dubrovnik and it has more than a hint of Venice (without the canals).

Trogir is unique amongst Dalmatian towns for its collection of Romanesque and Renaissance architecture. This was influenced by the period in history when this part of the world was under Venetian rule.
