finding pink...

...in a peony

a big beautiful flower - blooming in abandon with petals askew - have you ever seen anything like it?

my mama used to have this gorgeous row of - peonies running along our garage - back in the day - every summer they would bloom into the most outrageous blossoms - you can imagine - in shades of pink and white - setting off wonderful fragrances you could smell - across our backyard - so now when i see peonies - it triggers that memory, which does nothing - less than create for me...
