Turkey Vulture

These birds are so beautiful in flight...but not so much close up!  So many people have told me of places where they roost but I've never been able to find any to photograph.  Driving down the street today I spotted a large bird in a distant tree.  As I got closer I saw what it was and tried to find a place to pull over on the busy 2 lane road.  I had to go to the next block past it and circle back, park the car and walk to the tree.  Miraculously, he was still there waiting to be photographed, just in time for Wild Wednesday.  :-)
