Green Dock Beetle

Where there's a hole or holes in a leaf there's usually an insect or some kind of animal that has predated the plant. It's the turn of the humble Dock Leaf, and it's beetle at the moment.

It was quite an insect afternoon, with plenty of mating damselflies, all sorts of bees, and one cinnabar moth, in addition to this beautifully coloured beetle.
