Field of poppies

Driving back from playing golf near Royston today I spotted a huge red field. It turns out that the farmer planted Linseed and then sprayed a herbicide to kill the naturally occurring, self-seeded poppies.
Unfortunately the spray did not work and the Linseed is now struggling to survive against the poppies. Probably a crop lost - but a beautiful sight for passers by.
