Keeping it Local

Spent a big part of today printing out some images of the pier/lighthouse/sea herabouts for my show. Thinking is that casual visitors might want something 'of the area'.
I'm very impressed with the Hahnemuhle paper I bought for the purpose.
Moved my printer settings too. Always prints out much darker than images appear on the screen - I had it set to 'let printer decide colours'. Moved it to 'let Photoshop decide colours'. I think Photoshop has the upper hand.
Anyone out there with any experience of this?
