There must be a hundred different places to purchase fruit and vegetables within the mercado area. Vendors large and small either specialize in a single variety, like bananas or avocados, or serve as a one stop shop for all things grown. I often wonder as I am walking to my preferred vendor, just how they all make it. I guess one way would be to advertise with bright signs like this longtime shop does. That typically doesn't work on me as I'm not certain what a P. Macho is, nor if 8.90 a kilo is a good deal or not. I stick to my same vendors where I know the system and can count on the product, leaving colorful scenes like this as merely a photographic subject.
