Calla lily

A couple of years ago a friend gave me some calla lilies which I planted - obviously in the wrong spot as they never produced a singe flower :(

Last year I moved the lilies to a warmer spot in the garden and lo' and behold, this year I have flowers - a whole 2 so far!!

The rest of the garden exerienced one of my slash-and-dump attacks today as I took out some of my frustrations and disappointment on some flowers etc that were beginning to look rather overgrown. Hopefully they will have time to recover and produce some more blooms before the visitors get here in a couple of weeks, although I suspect not.
