Summer...
I was obviously spotted and being watched. Went for a long walk down by the lake and spotted these two on the favourite limb that overhangs what used to be a beaver dam. Sadly, the water has disappeared from this pond but the birds don't seem to mind. Every time I go to check on the water level, there are at least two swallows on this limb.
Also saw a family of Downy Woodpeckers but they were too high up in the darkness of the forest to get a decent shot....a mother Wren has claimed a birdhouse...the Orioles were busy delivering tidbits to their nest...and in a remote part of the beach, I spotted a lone man with a campfire, sitting on a log and drinking out of a thermos. Oh, and three GBH's who are real chickens when it comes to people...
That's it for me....way past my bedtime. Apologies for not having the time or energy to view everyone else's journals today....will play catch up another day soon. Till then...take care and happy blipping!
